These just scream cute to me ^^

Oh if you haven't watched the show... then I advise you do! It will make you all warm and fizzy inside I promise.

Hello my creepy Pumpkins!

I dont know about you, but I love Halloween. Not the scary part of it mind you, but just the colours and the dressing up part.. oh and candy of course!
Thought that I would make a nice little blog post for you all relating to the holiday.

The best part of halloween is all the bat themed items you get, due to the fact I'm a huge fan of pastel goth fashion. Anyway Im starting to ramble on. Hope you enjoy this blog post guys ^^

I must say I have a slight addiction to sweaters especially quirky ones like the one on the right here. I look forward to all the Christmas ones! Nothing says xmas like tacky xmas sweaters rofl.

My experience with South Africa

Okay well, where do I start here...
I moved to South Africa with my fiance the beginning of June. let me start off by saying that I feel like this journey and new experience has really benefited both me and Ryan in a real way. Its been good for us to experience this, open our view on life and also make us realize how fortunate we really are.

Okay now down to my experience. South Africa is a beautiful country! and a lot of the people I have met on my travels have been amazing to talk to and relate with. However I have also seen the bad attitudes of both native South Africans and the dutch who colonized this country.. yes this colonization happened years and years ago, but the war still seems to exist till this day, not in a literal sense but in a ancestry way. The two have not forgotten or forgiven for the past. I have seen afrikaans (dutch) have horrible attitudes, and look down on South Africans, but I have also experienced being bumped into on purpose by Africans, because of my skin colour.  As I am white, its been assumed I am an afrikaner (dutch). This has led my experience on a day to day basis be rather hard.

The younger generation seem to get on so well together, from what I have seen. Its the older generation that hasn't seemed to let go. I always remember when I was young living in this country, being friends with a lovely African little girl a house down from me. My brothers friend was an afrikaans speaking boy. This boy a couple of days after making friends with the African girl, said he no longer wanted to be friends with me and my Brother... all because we had befriended the African girl. This coming from a child?.. Horrifying to say the least. So sometimes even kids knowing nothing of anything, grow up with there parents horrible view on things! We see that all the time though.. in all walks of live I suppose.
The driving here is has been a whole new experience on its own. I give you one word... DANGEROUS. If your not awake and the driving seat, expect an accident to happen. You need to have your eyes peeled at all times. Not saying that driving in the UK was a breeze, because a lot of people shouldn't be driving lol. But me and my fiance Ryan have had so many near misses from drivers that couldn't possibly have a licence! Its been scary. Every day you drive, your pretty much always going to have to toot your horn at someone, whether its undercutting you, overtaking you (With little or no room to be doing so) or just plan not even paying attention to where they are going!

Another big HUGE surprise to me is that cops here do not pull you over for traffic offences... We were driving one day in a 40 Kilometer an hour road, to be overtaken by a big buckkie going what must have been a 100 Kilometers an hour, almost hitting us as he pulled in in front of us, (we beeped our horn at him like crazy)... This all happened RIGHT BEFORE A POLICE CAR!... you would haha your going to get nicked brother, but no... Cop car didn't do a thing. Why have speed limits you ask? I just dont know.
Red lights?... apparently people don't care. and I could go on.. but I think you get the idea here guys.

Internet is something that just does not work properly here. Basically there is just one company (Telcom) which is run by the government over here. Other companies can then lease lines from telcom. This makes internet very, very expensive. Why? Because we all know governments are greedy and corrupt. So internet is not only slow but at crazy prices. 10 Gig of data cost us £100 ... if thats not robbery, I don't know what is, oh and you need to use this 10 gig in one month and its erased. So for me and Ryan, being internet addicts and used to crazy fast broadband.. we pretty much cried.

Crime is still a very serious issue in South Africa, as much as we like not to talk about it. Stuff that happens down here, just doesn't happen in the UK. Everyone I have talked to, or met.. has experienced crime in some way. Not just in terms of robbery or small crime.. I mean knifes and guns and so on. This thankfully is something we have not experienced since arriving here, which I am thankful for every day. I feel like I have been overly cautious during my stay here. I make sure all the windows are closed every night, I check the bathroom before I shower, I make sure my bag and phone or close to me, and I basically watch my back every hour of every day. I feel its necessary... In Scotland this was something I honestly never worried about. I never even fully locked my house when I left for town most days in Scotland.

Jobs. This was something I honestly wasn't worried about before I left. I felt pretty confident that I would manage to get something, with my qualifications behind me. Boy was I wrong....
There are jobs going.. however the government has a law in place where companies need to employ a certain percentage of Native South Africans, this percentage is something like 97 percent... this means that white South Africans pretty much have no chance. I tried applying for many jobs, and heard nothing back. On one hand I think, well yeah that makes sense government, but on the other hand I think.. well thats a little unfair! Shouldnt the person employed be employed cause they are better for the job? not because of there background? In a way its very racist? is it not?...... I dont know. But getting a job here is near impossible! Just to be clear. I am a South African citizen! I'm not some outsider taking Africans jobs from them. I have a right to work here.... This is the main reason for me returning to Scotland with my fiance. No job, no money, no house, no way to live.

Im not trying to bash South Africa here, but I have to admit... Its very hard not to. There is just so much that doesn't make sense to me and So many faults I have found....
Yes Scotland is no perfect country! and has just as many flaws, but i'm used to those flaws xD
I will try and finish off with the good.. make this post a little less depressing, shall I? lol
I have enjoyed being here, make no mistake :) I have had a chance to get a lovely tan, soak up lots of vitamin C (which lets face it we Scots NEED desperately) I have had the chance to see and spend time with alot of my family that I haven't seen in years, see friends I haven't seen since primary school, and show Ryan my old school, and the country I was born!
We have been given the chance to experience so many new things that we just couldn't in the UK.... Like driving an old volkswagen beetle for example. Its been an amazing experience, and I'm very glad that we came here. Its given me a whole new outlook on life for sure! And lets face it a change is always nice!

So as much as things haven't worked out for us here, its still been amazing! I am now very much looking forward to getting back to the UK.. my home :) I'm looking forward to starting a new! I get to make a fresh start, not many can say they have done that.

Can't wait to get back to my Scotland!

Hair Dying Plans!

For quite a while now i have been somewhat unsatisfied with my hair. I keep seeing beautiful ladies with amazing bright and vibrant hair. I'm very jealous!
So i done some research into "home kits" for dying my hair an interesting colour, and came across a brand of hair colour called "Manic Panic"... this name intrigued me!

I stared longingly at the immense collection of colours available... SO MUCH CHOICE!

As some of you may know I ombre'd my hair at the beginning of this year, using loreal-paris Ombre kit! I loved the outcome. However noticed this beautiful picture on tumblr......

and fell in LOVE! So this is what I plan on going for.
What I will state is that dying your hair really does damage it. The moment I ombre'ed my hair, I could feel how brittle and coarse it was, I also have thousands of split ends, which are so noticeable thanks to the light colour haha >u<
I think this can definitely be helped, by just looking after your hair more, with different products.. which can prevent this from happening!

So soon a hair cut will be booked as my hair is now sooo long its strangling me in my sleep.... and my ends are so damaged from not looking after it. So once the hair is cut, the colour can begin.
I will make sure to do a before and after post for you all, and review the Manic panic hair dye as well. So stay tuned my lovelies!

If you have another suggestion on hair dye you think is better, please feel free to comment on this post.. The help would be much appriciated. Hope you all had a good weekend and, I hope you all have a great week.

Outfit of the Day (OOTD)

Hello my Gummy Bears!

Today I went along to GeekFest, which is basically a gaming convention. I wanted to share with you my ootd ãƒ½(;▽;)ノ
It was a pretty awesome event. The event took place at the Goldfields Kennel club, so there was a pet parade for all the cute doggies! I seen a pug dressed as Jake the dog while the owner was dressed as Fin.. It was the most awesome thing I have ever seen!  >u< I have a bit of an obsessions with pugs (à·†`꒳´à·†)
I also noticed a few MLP:FIM Cosplays, some jokers, and quite a few kalessi's which was AWESOME! Most of the costumes were so well done and you could tell people put a lot of effort into their cosplays.. Which made me happy!

On an unrelated note. I walked about all day with lolita on, even to the supermarket. Not one person stared at me, and gave me funny looks! ;O; As subtle as this outfit is (I feel) In the UK when I wore the exact same thing.. I got very weird looks from people. So thumbs up to S.A for people not being weirded out and more accepting of things! <3

Anywayz...... >u<
I decided to just wear my regular old lolita clothing to Geek Fest, cause attending this event was kind of last minute thing. If it wasn't for that I would have organized a Chi (Chobits) Cosplay, since I own the ears ^6^

Excuse my doolally hair in this picture, its so long I kind of can't control it anymore (´-﹏-`;) but yeah this is was my coord U v U
Im so glad I bought this skirt, I actually wanted to do a review of it soon ( ͡° ͜Ê– ͡°)
Innocent worlds quality is amazing, such soft cotton material and such a pretty print!

A closereerrrr up shot of the print! ;w;

I ment to take more pictures at Geek Fest, but sadly with all the excitement, that idea kind of went out the window... (´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) /
Anyway it was very fun.

OOFD:
Skirt: Innocent World
Blouse: Bodyline
Shoes: Bodyline
Tights: Off Brand

My bag Collection!

Hello my fluffy bunnies!

I decided to make a blog post on the bags I own. Cause I love these types of videos on youtube. Despite loving watching these videos, I definitely don't feel comfortable making videos of myself >u< If you see my previous youtube videos you will see why haha.

First bag I own is this Squirrel Party tote from Bodyline. I'm not too sure if its available on there website any more, but bodyline do make some uber cute stuff. Handbags I really like! I use this one regularly hence the state of it lol
One thing I will say however is that the sewing on the straps were not very strong. So I would advise that if you bought a tote from them, that you strengthen the straps ^^ This comes in a few different colours. Pink, Sax (Which is what I have), lilac, red and black.

Here is a close up of the print and frills! Cute huh! <3

And another close up for you! What a cute print. I can just look at this bag, and feel happy inside! <3

Bag two is my watermelon bag which was bought at H&M. I almost died with excitement when I seen this in the store. Pretty sure everyone thought I was crazy.. but hey I kinda am!
So this bag is kind of an awkward shape >u< The green part is kind of woven straw, the pink is a very barbie pink shiny leather type fabric. The inside has a green lining and a small zip pocket for goodies!

Close up for you. Its so pretty and I love the colour!

Bag three is my Shirley Temple Bag. I actually bought this second hand on a lolita facebook group I joined. Although its pretty beaten up, has scuff parks and things are falling apart. I adore it! Its just so adorable and cute, especially the top of the bag.

Look at the top! It has a red and green bow! Ughhhh I just cant even express how much I love this bag!!!

Forth bag is my fox bag, which was bought for me at Christmas. I believe you can get this one on ebay and a new other sites. I love this bright coral colour, give a pop of colour to any outfit. This bags comes in soooo many colours its crazy!

 The straps are adjustable!

Bag five is my accessorize bag! It has kind of a scallop style trim. I really love this bag :) Its very pretty and goes with everything I ware. The inside includes a silk brown lining, with two pockets, which I use for my phone and pocket mirror. My phone fits perfectly in the pocket. There is also a small zip pocket! <3 Bags with compartments are awesome! :D

 Such a pretty bag!

My sixth bag is my sugar bunny shop puddle bunny messenger bag! Look at all the chubby squishy bunnies! *U* This is from the online shop, Sugar Bunny Shop
I adore this bag! My giddy Aunt! LOVE IT! Now this bag is unfortunately out of stock on her website, however she has lots of other cute items! This bad is closed and opened by the latches there on the front, no zip security inside but it wouldn't be pretty hard for someone to dip there hands in here anyways. There is a small zip pocket inside, very well made! The strap is also adjustable. Although I love the bunnies on this bag, I gotta admit its a little annoying to use, but who cares! IT HAS BUNNIES ON IT!

Here is a close up of the pretty print! <3

And last but by no means least is my chococat tote. This one was a present for Christmas from a very special friend <3
Love and adore this! No idea where it was bought. Its a very sturdy bag and has an inside zip pocket. Chococat is sequenced which makes him sparkle and shine *U*

So there you have it folks! My small and growing bag collection.
If you have a bag collection blog or video I would LOVE to see what bags you own! Share with me :D <3

My day today!

Don't you just love Sundays! :D I spent my day this morning till about 3 in my jammies, getting a foot rub and chatting with hubby! It was so nice...
I love just to sit and talk and laugh together <3

After that had an amazing warm shower! I love day showers.. they are the BEST! However I did have an ant walking along the top of the tiled shower...look at me, and carry on again walking O_o It made me feel watched?.. Its an ant! I know, was so awkward though! ew!

After the nice and awkward shower, went in our love bug (What I can our volkswagen beetle) to the Wimpy Roadhouse, sat in our bug and had our lunch and cold drink in the car! Was warm as there is no aircon in our old little car, but nice too! <3 We both had a very unhealthy breakfast of fried eggs, greasy bacon and chips WAS SO GOOD! and I washed that down with a strawberry and cream smoothie... which was more like ice-cream, cause I couldn't suck it through the bloomin' straw ¬-¬
Then went home for some movie watching in bed! haha :D

I ment to take a OOTD photo for you guys, but only mustered up the effort to take these two haha
My apologies!
I wore my new mint shell ring, which I bought from Cute Can Kill recently, an Anna Sue ring that Ruth (Princess peachie) made me! ^^, My angelic pretty necklace, and the two bracelets that my lovely friend from DeviantART made me (Emi-chuu)

Close up of my AP necklace ;v; Its a glittery blue bow, with pink diamantes and a pink heart which says "AP" on it. The heart is actually a kind of pearl pink (photo doesn't do justice) Its an amazing necklace. Angelic pretty is worth the money everyone! Such good quality and SO well made! <3

LOOK AT IT /*  U  * / ......how pretty!!!

Anyway sorry for such a lazy, lazy post today <3

How to colour digitally with layers

Hello my lovelies!

So I had a couple of people on deviantart request I do a tutorial on colouring!.. and I thought how fun. I'm terrible at explaining things however, so if anything remains unclear. Please feel free to let me know, and I will help further!
At first when I started drawing digitally, I was so stumped and confused by layers and how they worked, but you have done your research just like I did. Good on ya! *thumbs up to you* Hopefully this helps you out.. at least a little haha.

Okay. So to start things off... the most common programs for colouring are Photoshop (obviously) and what I use... Paint tool SAI (the best program ever). This tutorial will be for SAI, however its the same concept on photoshop.

Step 1: Open canvas to start drawing.. (Go to file > New)

Step 2: Now make a layer! by clicking the folded paper icon just above the circle here or (Layer > New layer)

Step 3: Now name your later whatever you want. Suggest you name it something you will remember! After than go ahead and draw your lineart ^^ I drew an ice-cream.. cause i'm craving it right now.. and its cute >u<!

Step 4: Okay so we now have our lineart completed on our first layer! Woo!
So now we create a new layer, name it once again.

Now as you can see when you colour on this layer, you are colouring is under your linart.. MAGIC!

Step 5: Okay now click the Magic wand tool  and click your "Linart" layer (The first layer you created) now click the area you want to colour with the magic wand tool. You will notice the part you have selected as turned blue!

Most of the time, the magic wand took won't select the whole area you want to colour.

To rectify this. Go the the select took! This is basicly a select brush. It allows you to brush over parts the magic want tool misses. Neat huh! ^7^

Now use this select took and brush over the bits the magic wand took misses, and wala you can start to colour! ^O^

Step 6: Now after your selected part has turned blue, go to your "Colour" layer (Second layer you created) and click it.

Step 7: Use whatever tool you want. I suggest the Brush tool, but some like to use the bucket tool, and colour the selected area. You will notice that by what we have done, You have magically coloured only the selected layer, all neat and tidy. So this is the basics of the mystery that is layers!

Thank you so much for reading, and again I'm sorry if this tutorial is sloppy xD I'm not good at explaining things! If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask below in the comment section!
Oh and if you would like to suggest another tutorial you would like to see me do, please let me know ^^

bye bye everyone! Till next time! <3

Doesn't that sound awesome! :D
My commissions are OPEN (Click for commission info)
