April Favorites

Its finally time, and for once I'm actually on time to do one of these posts!
So bare with me cause this is my first.

Benefit's Watt's up highlighter
So i usually use either a powder or liquid highlighter, I have NEVER used a stick formula :/ It does blend in well surprisingly. Only thing I don't like about this is the weird sponge you can see in the picture?... Maybe its totally obvious but I have no idea what the purpose of this is lol

So this is what it looks like on my skin, its rather subtle. On the cheekbones etc it looks so luminous, which is obviously what you want in a highlighter.

Essie: cute as a button
Such a me shade! Its deep, coral pink.
I am a huge fan of Essie nail polishes, simply because they are good quality. However I will advise if you have never bought an Essie polish, you NEED to use a topcoat, if you don't they will chip instantly.
The good points of this brand,is that it applies streak free. You will only ever need two coats no matter what shade you use, even pastel! And the main and most important reason I love Essie, is that once you apply your polish to you nail it remains super shiny.

Rimmel Provocalips: I'll Call You
So this is a new concept! I have never come across anything like this before.
Basically you have the super pigmented colour on one side, and a balm on the other with a doe foot applicators.
Rimmel promise a 16 Hr kiss proof lip colour with these bad boys, to be honest you do need to reapply the balm a couple of times a day otherwise your lips get superrrr dry, but the ITS TRUE the color does actually stay put all day long, in fact I tried rubbing these off at the end of the day, and eh.. lets just say I didn't look attractive.
This does what it says on the tin ladies!

So this is the colour, without the balm, its super rosy and cute.

I got this in a gift box a while ago, and only started using it now. It is really good to sooth my dry skin after shaving, its so natural smelling.

Victoria Secret: Love Spell
hahaha I feel almost ashamed to tell you this... I bought this on ebay..
*waits for things to be thrown at me*
I know...
But I wanted it *sobs* It does smell sooooooooo amazing. I love it!

On a side note, It snowed today. Its SPRING!
Scotland has weird weather...
I should be used to this, but I'm not... Its just weird.
Weather go home your drunk!

That is all!

Happy Easter Everybun!

Happy Easter Everybunny!

It's Easter Sunday so naturally I thought it would be fun, to take a little photoshoot with my bunny Bella.

Let me first just start off by saying.. Bunnies are difficult to take good photos of cause they never keep stil!  However I managed to get a few cute ones that weren't blurry and unusable.

Mm can I eat this mummy?..

Bella has such a little personality. My friends say she's like having a dog, and in a way she kind of is! Bunnies can be hugely Affectionate. She enjoys jumping up on the couch next to me, giving me bunny kisses, binkying about our living room rug, and following me about the house.

I didn't make these.. Did I?

Don't get me wrong bunnies are not as easy to look after as a dog or cat. They need to be well looked after. They are a 10 year commitment.

I just think it's important that anyone with a bunny stresses the importance that Bunnies are not just for Easter. They are a 10 year commitment. Enjoy your Easter Everybun.

A Real Wedding Story

Well.. the big day came and went.
I married the love of my life on the 28th of March 2015. I wish it I could say the day was like a
fairy tail.. but it wasn't quite that.
I don't think anyone quite prepares you for this day. We watch movies and expect our day to be so perfect.

Well.. I had a pretty small wedding. 36 guests invited. It was such a frantic day, I barely had time to think or talk. I got up and that was it.. full steam ahead. The entire day consisted of running about frantically.
I had planned to get ready at the dressing room provided to us by the registry office on the day. However due to weddings overlapping, was told we could not use the room.
This meant I had to run home, and get ready in 30 minutes.. 30 minutes to do my makeup, get in my dress... everything. Luckily I was trained in the art of fast makeup application, or things could have been tricky!
I didn't think it was possible, but me and my bridesmaids did it.
However one of my poor bridesmaids, who was meeting us at the registry office, had to be escorted to the nearest shopping center bathroom to get herself and my flower girl ready. Suddenly more guests than had been invited arrived, so a few were left standing as I entered the room ready to walk down the isle.

I now became blotchy around my neck and arms as I heard my wedding song start to play... This is what happens to me when I am nervous. I would like to tell you that it was barely noticeable.. but that would be a lie.
I have never experienced nerves such as this.. I couldn't breath half the day.
As it came to the part were we had to repeat our vows to one another, I started to develop an uncontrollable twitch in my lip, this made things hard especially to smile and talk. I cant imagine what people must have thought seeing me stand up there.
The best part was kissing... It was a magical moment for many reasons. Most of all the happiness of knowing I could run out the door!

I am also so lucky that I had an amazing photographer, who, as if by magic made me look incredible on my big day, no blotches, no scary face.. just lots of smiles captured by everyone invited.
It was the best day of my life, not down to how the day panned out but, because I got to marry my best friend and sole mate. He was worth it all.. all the stress, everything!
I am so happy to be Mrs O'Connor.
