Cute Can Kill

Cute can kill is a lovely little online shop, which sells unique one of a kind resin jewelary. By one of a kind I mean they make these babies by hand, meaning they can never be replicated. 

You get your hands on some really unique and creative items.

I personally love their stuff. Glitter, cute, and unique. What more could a girl want.

I recently received my sundae design necklace in the post and so far its the favourite of my growing collection. One think I will say is their stuff is like hens teeth to get a hold of... why?

When the shop is updated with items, everyone wants them! By a blink of an eye everything is gone. So you gotta be quick, if you want to be lucky enough to get something.

Outfit of the Day (OOTD)

Hello my Gummy Bears!

Today I went along to GeekFest, which is basically a gaming convention. I wanted to share with you my ootd ヽ(；▽；)ノ

It was a pretty awesome event. The event took place at the Goldfields Kennel club, so there was a pet parade for all the cute doggies! I seen a pug dressed as Jake the dog while the owner was dressed as Fin.. It was the most awesome thing I have ever seen!  >u< I have a bit of an obsessions with pugs (ෆ`꒳´ෆ)

 I also noticed a few MLP:FIM Cosplays, some jokers, and quite a few kalessi's which was AWESOME! Most of the costumes were so well done and you could tell people put a lot of effort into their cosplays.. Which made me happy!

On an unrelated note. I walked about all day with lolita on, even to the supermarket. Not one person stared at me, and gave me funny looks! ;O; As subtle as this outfit is (I feel) In the UK when I wore the exact same thing.. I got very weird looks from people. So thumbs up to S.A for people not being weirded out and more accepting of things! <3

I decided to just wear my regular old lolita clothing to Geek Fest, cause attending this event was kind of last minute thing. If it wasn't for that I would have organized a Chi (Chobits) Cosplay, since I own the ears ^6^

Im so glad I bought this skirt, I actually wanted to do a review of it soon ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Innocent worlds quality is amazing, such soft cotton material and such a pretty print!

My day today!

Don't you just love Sundays! :D I spent my day this morning till about 3 in my jammies, getting a foot rub and chatting with hubby! It was so nice... 

I love just to sit and talk and laugh together <3 

After that had an amazing warm shower! I love day showers.. they are the BEST! However I did have an ant walking along the top of the tiled shower...look at me, and carry on again walking O_o It made me feel watched?.. Its an ant! I know, was so awkward though! ew! 

After the nice and awkward shower, went in our love bug (What I can our volkswagen beetle) to the Wimpy Roadhouse, sat in our bug and had our lunch and cold drink in the car! Was warm as there is no aircon in our old little car, but nice too! <3 We both had a very unhealthy breakfast of fried eggs, greasy bacon and chips WAS SO GOOD! and I washed that down with a strawberry and cream smoothie... which was more like ice-cream, cause I couldn't suck it through the bloomin' straw ¬-¬ 

Then went home for some movie watching in bed! haha :D

I ment to take a OOTD photo for you guys, but only mustered up the effort to take these two haha

Close up of my AP necklace ;v; Its a glittery blue bow, with pink diamantes and a pink heart which says "AP" on it. The heart is actually a kind of pearl pink (photo doesn't do justice) Its an amazing necklace. Angelic pretty is worth the money everyone! Such good quality and SO well made! <3

So this dress looks amazing with a nice puffy petti and I love the waistline.. Very flattering.

Angelic Pretty: Honey Cake

One of my favourite AP prints! Its also kinda vintage, which gives it double thumbs up. The print as you can see is breakfast themed, you have pancakes, milk,maple syrup.. so cute! This dress also has the most adorable matching accessories, like the honey cake bear ring and the honey cake shoulder bag.

This is my favorite ever Innocent world print! Innocent world is more of a classic style of lolita. 

This print has cute fawns and bows. Also seriously loving the blue colour on the dress, its so pretty.

Emily Temple Cute: Snow white comic 

I think this is the only Emily Temple Cute dress I have ever fallen in love with INSTANTlY!

Its retro, baby blue,  and has a disney /comic print... what more could you want! This is just an epic dress, no other way to explain it really ^7^ Get in mah closet noew! K!

Mary Magdalene: Claudette

I find this dress so insanely lad like, Its like something a disney princess would wear. I can just imagine singing with birds visiting my window in the morning.

I think this is definitely an everyday kind of dress.

Angelic Pretty: Gloria 

IN WHITE! ( Couldn't find a stock image of the white skirt ;A; )

Its so unusual to see this type of print from AP, but wow... look at it! I really like this dress in white, however could not for the life of me, find a white stock photo to show you! ;A; (If any of you do, please let me know!) I fell in love with this skirt when I say PastelBat wearing it. Such a stunner!

Innocent World: Rabbit Letter

I cant help but fall in love with bunny ANYTHING, so naturally I love this dress, The skirt is also really pretty too. Basically the print has bunnies, giving letters to one another ^^ I know its even cuter than it sounds though! Also really like this colour too, really makes the print pop! This is also an everyday kind of dress <3

How to have a Kawaii instagram!

Hello my puddle ducks!

Today I wanted to talk about how you can have a kawaii instagram. The secret is apps!

Apps are wonderful tools to help make photos kawaiifull and prettyfull! And to make things even better, all the apps I will talk about today are FREE! Mmm free /drools. I believe all the apps are available on both android and iphones, but don't quote me on that ^^;

Photo Wonder

About this App:

The layout for this app is macaroon themed, very girly and cute! Everything is relatively easy to use, but of all the apps i've talked about on this blog its a little hard to locate things, however once you get the hang of where to find things, its a great app. There is just so much option!

In this app there are a lot of filter options, and I really like that you can apply a filter before you actually take a photo. This means you can check which affect looks best for what you're taking.. not only does this save time, but it also helps take a better picture.

There are cute lace borders, accessories and stamps, However there aren't a lot of variety.

There are a lot of cool options in this app, including one to totally blur certain parts of your photo, perfect for those shots where I want to show my outfit and not my derpy face haha.

My favourite part of this app is that you can add kawaii blush to your face as well as a whole host of other body and makeup altering stuff, including an anti-acne option! ( I haven't personally used this, but found that to be a clever thing to include to an app.) This app is used by the famous Xiaxue.

About this App:

Okay so this app is a little less appealing to the eyes, theme wize! however still in keeping with the cuteness you want in an app ^^

Things are easier to locate within this app, although there are a few hidden things haha. One of the things I didn't find too great about this app, is that there is no filter options, only a brightness option! So if you were going to use this app, I suggest editing the filter of your image first in another app... which makes it a little annoying.. I know! But even so, this app was fun!

There are a lot of cute borders, which reminded me of Puricute!

Pen tool is really good, usually with pen tools they can be wonky and jaggy looking, but I don't feel this is.

This app is really plain and simple. There is nothing complicated about it, but the features are limited, However the scrapbook option in this App is awesome! I haven't seen another app like it thats so cute. I like that you can move and select items at any point to change the size and angle! You can also place different things above and below the items on the screen too! There are not a lot of stamps, but i really like the ones you get in this app. Its kind of 80s come pastel gosh come kawaii!

Finished Skirt!

After hours, lots of mistakes, and lots of pin pricks, I have finally finished! 

I can't believe I actually made a skirt, and it actually looks not too bad for my first try! 

I made thousands of mistakes, but I know next time to avoid those! ; v ; Im just so happy!

I can't wait to try the same thing with nicer patterned material.

 Here is a close up of the top of the skirt, Its tidy for the most part. The strip I used for the belt to cover the top end of the pleats was shorted than I thought, So I had to improvise with the back.. 

Here is the back. As the skirt was tailored to my waist size, I decided just to add a zip! 

Here is me looking rather derpy with the skirt on. Excuse my shirt, It was what I was wearing at the time >u< I know it doesn't quite go haha

Oooh my legs kinda blend in with my wardrobe there oops lol

Pleated Skirt

Today was a very productive day. I'm halfway through making a pleated skirt! Like sailormoon *U*
I hit a few bumps across the way, but now I have learned and can hopefully make things better second time around. I made the skirt a couple of inches past the knee, didn't want it short.
Skirts are not so easy to make, I made so many mistakes on this one. But we learn by our mistakes... I suppose.
Those pins are little weapons! ´д` ; I must have stabbed myself a million times!!! I'm sure this skirt has tiny blood stains all over it, if not its a miracle! Safe to say, If I can avoid using pins......... I do (눈‸눈)
Hopefully magic is real, and I become a professional in no time! (´-﹏-`；)

I have sewn the pleats, and neatened everything out. So tomorrow will work on sewing both sides of the skirt together as well as hopefully adding the elastic at the top and covering that up.
No idea how to do the elastic part. Hopefully I can find some tutorials to help me out. le' excite! o(≧▽≦)o

I used a simple white material, which I had plenty of. Once I get to grips with things, I will use prettier material. Might add some lace heart shaped pockets, I have too many ideas (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ !!

Also took a trip down the fabric store a couple of days ago and got fabric for bows and snap wallets. Might make a choker or too also, which is the reason for the little ribbon roses there. I just can't resist fruit print fabric! No idea what to do with the zippers yet, bought them for no reason.. yup, don't take me to a craft store, i tend to just buy everything. ☆

Here are two new bows I made last week, using the fabric I bought. Just waiting on my hair clips to attach to these, then up on the shop they go! yay! The cupcake stand is definitely going to be used at my stall at markets, so pretty..

A Lolita Day

A usual lolita day in pictures! I didn't go out today though, Sunday is a day of rest after all.

So I drew on my tablet (Currently drawing myself and my bird Pidge in chibi form), watched Tokyo Mew Mew, sewed a little and tumblr-ed alot >u< haha

Vintage Cosmetic company in Kitty- I can't remember where I bought the eyelashes, but I found the glue to be very weak.... So quite disappointed. That reminds me I need to buy some circle lenses! 

I hear Geo is the best? ... Was thinking of buying the Angel Blue ones.

Lolita dress making

Now that I have a sewing machine, I have been looking into lolita dress making! 

I don't know about most lolita fashion enthusiasts, but I cannot afford angelic pretty, or even handmade lolita dress makings.. for example: We're All Mad Here

Heck I can't even afford items off of Bodyline! Due to shipping being a fortune for me here.

So I found some handy tutorials and want to get started on making my first lolita skirt. I want to make something similar to this by Pinkly ever after. Cute huh!

 I just like the simplicity of this and the see through fabric over a different fabric. Its very lolita/fairy kei. 

I hope that with practice I can make items that look as cute as there dresses do! It will cost me a lot less thats for sure! haha. Yes its no angelic pretty >u< But I have to be realistic here lol.

So lolita skirt attempt one will begin at some point this month! Wish me luck!!

First sewing experience

Lookie lookie! I bought my first ever sewing machine yesterday and today I made this little bow :) I just need to buy the backing for this so that it can be a hair clip. Bows will be added to my store very, very soon
