Today Summery: Tuesday

♥ Today was not the best weather, it rained a whole lot and I haven't seen the sun peak its heads out in what feels like forever. If you don't know from reading my blog by now, Britain doesn't get the best weather and its traditional to moan about this. Come join me...
♥ I was treated to both a wagamama lunch and a new lippy from mac. I don't think they make the best combo especially since, I tend to make a complete mess while eating. Safe to say the lipstick needed re-applied.
♥ I adore walking about the City of Glasgow because its such a modern city with a historic feel. I walked past this amazing street art of Frankenstein after lunch. I am a huge Frankenstein fan, so I slightly freaked out and demanded my husband stand in the rain to take a photo of me. I wish I knew the artist who painted this, as I'd love to tell him/her how much I admire this piece.
♥ Feeling slightly anxious today, but trying my best to keep my brain occupied so I don't notice..

How was your Tuesday?

A Real Wedding Story

Well.. the big day came and went.
I married the love of my life on the 28th of March 2015. I wish it I could say the day was like a
fairy tail.. but it wasn't quite that.
I don't think anyone quite prepares you for this day. We watch movies and expect our day to be so perfect.

Well.. I had a pretty small wedding. 36 guests invited. It was such a frantic day, I barely had time to think or talk. I got up and that was it.. full steam ahead. The entire day consisted of running about frantically.
I had planned to get ready at the dressing room provided to us by the registry office on the day. However due to weddings overlapping, was told we could not use the room.
This meant I had to run home, and get ready in 30 minutes.. 30 minutes to do my makeup, get in my dress... everything. Luckily I was trained in the art of fast makeup application, or things could have been tricky!
I didn't think it was possible, but me and my bridesmaids did it.
However one of my poor bridesmaids, who was meeting us at the registry office, had to be escorted to the nearest shopping center bathroom to get herself and my flower girl ready. Suddenly more guests than had been invited arrived, so a few were left standing as I entered the room ready to walk down the isle.

I now became blotchy around my neck and arms as I heard my wedding song start to play... This is what happens to me when I am nervous. I would like to tell you that it was barely noticeable.. but that would be a lie.
I have never experienced nerves such as this.. I couldn't breath half the day.
As it came to the part were we had to repeat our vows to one another, I started to develop an uncontrollable twitch in my lip, this made things hard especially to smile and talk. I cant imagine what people must have thought seeing me stand up there.
The best part was kissing... It was a magical moment for many reasons. Most of all the happiness of knowing I could run out the door!

I am also so lucky that I had an amazing photographer, who, as if by magic made me look incredible on my big day, no blotches, no scary face.. just lots of smiles captured by everyone invited.
It was the best day of my life, not down to how the day panned out but, because I got to marry my best friend and sole mate. He was worth it all.. all the stress, everything!
I am so happy to be Mrs O'Connor.
